It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kathleen J. Schmitt of Summerfield, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on February 20, 2021, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her sister Maryann Jamros. She is survived by: her husband Donald H. Schmitt of Summerfield; her children, Denise Thornton (Ron Hunziker) and Brian Bielong (Peggy); her grandchildren, Ashley Ahrens (Jerid), Brett Bielong (Danielle), Craig, Malia, Oliver Rodgers, Brent Bielong, Allison Zbinden and Timmy Bielong; and her great grandchildren, Bradley Goetter, Brice Ahrens, Braxton Bielong and Kenadee Thornton.
In lieu of plants, flowers or other gifts, memorials may be made to St. John United Church of Christ in Summerfield and will be received at Moss Funeral Home (105 S. Main St. Trenton, IL 62293), who is serving the family.
