She was predeceased by: her parents, William B. Hurt and Willion Dean Hurt (Powell); and her husband George W. Rutledge. She is survived by: her son Todd Maxedon (Jackie) of Sullivan; her grandson Cody Maxedon (Maddie) of Ft. Myer, FL; her great grandchild Mila Maxedon; her niece Anita Key (Tom) of Sullivan; her sister-in-law Diana Hilliard of Sullivan; and her stepchildren, Darryl Rutledge of Joliet, Jeffrey Rutledge of Charleston, Georgina Y. Rutledge of Romeoville and Venetia E. Rutledge of Joliet. She is also survived by her step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the New Life Church in Sullivan or to the donor's choice.
