He was predeceased by: his parents, Emery Righter and Fern Ashbrook Righter. He is survived by: his wife Betty Hahn of Sullivan; his sons, Edwin Righter (Cheryl) of Sullivan and Mark Righter (Amber) of Sullivan; his grandchildren, Jared Righter (Melissa) of Naperville, Kelsey Righter of Texas, Hannah Righter of Sullivan and Hayden Righter of Sullivan; and his siblings, Kenneth Righter (Rita) of Mattoon, John Righter (Mary) of Troy, Montana, Lois Hamilton of Trilla and Helen Landrus of Trilla. He is also survived by four great grandchildren.
