Though Joyce Ellen may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Stanton Bonwell and Catherine Bonwell (Buntain); and her husband Richard Shellabarger. She is survived by: her children, Sherry Shellabarger of Georgetown, TX, Sondie Epley (Eric) of San Antonio, TX, Samantha Berner of Sullivan, Stan Shellabarger (Dutes) of Chicago, Susan Hicks (Wyatt) of Charlotte, NC and Seth Shellabarger (Amy) of St. Louis, MO.. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the First United Methodist Church (216 W Jefferson St, Sullivan, IL 61951). A memorial service was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
