It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jean Cruit of Sullivan, Illinois, born in Decatur, Illinois, who passed away on September 17, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Franklin Parris and Gladys Cantrell Parris; and her spouse Byron Smith 'Smitty Cruit. She is survived by: her children, Byron Smith Cruit, Jr. (Susan) of Augusta, Georgia, Calvin Deon Cruit (Peggy) of Sullivan and Gay Lee Thomas (Jack) of Dalton City; and her grandchildren, Stanley Cruit, Shelly Smith (Dave), Byron Thomas, Dustin Thomas, Eric Thomas, Tyler Cruit (Laney) and Leah Akers (Terry). She is also survived by six great grandchildren; two step great grandchildren and a step great great grandson.
Masks are suggested for the visitation and funeral.
