He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Scheer and Lucille Scheer (Schnake) of St. Peter; his granddaughter Savannah Cobb; and his brother-in-law Ray Lungwitz. He is survived by: his wife Linda Scheer of Sullivan; his daughters, Stacey Calvert (Shane) of Paris and Shannon Cobb (Jason) of Mattoon; his grandchildren, Mya Cobb, Jada Cobb, Kimber Calvert and J. R. Calvert; his sisters, Sandra Radden (David) of O'Fallon and Beverly Lungwitz of Belleville; and his aunt Ruth Schnake of Effingham. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
