He was predeceased by: his parents, George Darnell and Wanda Darnell (Sefried); his former wife Delores Collenberger; his sister Dorothy Brown; and his grandson Anthony Cuttill.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Huesman; his children, Diane Brown (Michael) of Maroa, IL, David Darnell (Flora) of Williamsville, IL, Denise Sarna (Ken) of Decatur, IL, Dawn Cuttill (Michael) of Ridge Spring, SC and Duane Darnell (Lynette) of Plainfield, IL; his grandchildren, Julie Schmidgall, Jennifer Power, Mallory Darnell, Jeremy Sarna, Weston Cuttill, Maggie Ray, Connor Darnell, Ashley Darnell, Evan Darnell and Tiffany Cuttill; and his great grandchildren, Mason, Katie, Kenna, Nick, Grace, Bash, Gavin, Hunter, Hannah, Cassiday, Angel and Ava. He is also survived by several nieces and cousins.
