He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Dixon and Zoa Dixon; and his siblings, Gwendolyn Tarpley, Joyce Hall, Mary, Thomas and Robert.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra; his daughter Carrie Dixon; his granddaughter Sandra Holleran; and his siblings, Richard and Joanne DeGroot. He is also survived by his aunt and uncle.
