With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Michels of Sugar Grove, Illinois, born in Aurora, Illinois, who passed away on September 9, 2024 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben Michels and Marie Michels. He is survived by: his children, Sean Michels (Valerie), Todd Michels (Jacqui) and Denise Migliorini (Brian); his grandchildren, Abby Michels, Nicholas Michels, Madelyn Denison (Kip), Sophie Michels, Greycn Michels, Alexa Michels, Samantha Michels, Gina and Nico Migliorini; his siblings-in-law, Judy Kreitz (Jim) and Don White; his wife Carole Michels; his siblings, Bob Michels, Art Michels, Bern Michels and Anna Marie Avram; his grandchildren, Geno and Ryan Migliorini; and his pet Claire. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and a countryside full of friends.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Jim's name to benefit his favorite charities. Checks may be made to the "James Kenneth Michels Memorial" and mailed in care of P.O. Box 66, Elburn, 60119.
