She was predeceased by: her parents, Ned Mertz and Laura Mertz (Stoner); her husband Anthony Varga Jr.; and her sister Linda Page. She is survived by: her son Donald W. Jackley (Betty) of Aurora, IL; her grandchildren, Benjamin Von Ohlen (Chloe) and Anna Marie Von Ohlen; and her great grandchild Amelia Von Ohlen. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
