We are sad to announce that on January 12, 2021, at the age of 81, Shirley M. Beavon of Stronghurst, Illinois, born in Abingdon, Illinois passed away. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Dean and Dorothy Daye McGinnis McCullough; her brother Jimmie Dean McCullough; and her brother-in-law Bud Cozad. She is survived by: her husband Robert James Beavon; her daughter Shelly Gittings (Ronnie) of Stronghurst; her grandchildren, Jessica Burrell (Jeremy), Justin Gittings, Andy Gittings (Kara Keller) and Lauren Chockley (Andy); her great grandchildren, Addison, Tanner, Wyatt Burrell, Jacob, Wesley, Andrew Chockley and Reese Gittings; and her sister Carol Cozad of Lewistown, IL. She is also survived by several nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

Due to the pandemic, a private family service will be held at Banks & Beals at 2:00 p. m. Sunday.
