She was predeceased by: her father LaVern Root. She is survived by: her mother Mary Short; her brothers, Danny Root of Sciota, IL, David Root of Monmouth, IL, Gary Root (Janet) of Alamo, TX and Jerry Root of Alamo, TX; her stepsisters, Kim Moeller (Bob) of Salem, IA, Theresa Short of Burlington, IA, Tammy Kuster of Burlington, IA and Angie Short of Burlington, IA; and her close friend Deborah Beam of Stronghurst. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Family Outreach Community Center of Stronghurst.
