He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Schmitz and Ella Schmitz (Duff); and his wife Bonnie Glasgow. He is survived by: his children, Scott Schmitz (Jan) of New Port Richey, FL., Mike Schmitz (Amy) of Monmouth, IL., Lori Dameron (Dave) of Burlington, Brenda Schmitz (Jim Clark) of Clarendon Hills, IL. and Mary Notestein (Brad) of Mt. Pleasant; and his sisters, Shirley Mundt of Burlington and Carol Sprock of Stronghurst, IL.. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
