He was predeceased by: his mother Evelyn Covert Hobby Armstrong; his sons, Ron and Rick Hobby; and his siblings-in-law, Ann Butterfield, Margaret Lovitt, Richard and Robert Owsley (Bob).
He is survived by: his wife Elma Owsley; his daughter Coni Hobby (Dan Sigwart) of Macomb, IL; his grandchildren, Julie Greep (Jason), Rhonda Engle, Cami Hobby, Dustin Hobby (Thea), Michael Hupp and Arron Hobby; his great grandchildren, Emily, Alexx, Rachelle, Candice, Sydney, Raelynn, Ben, Cole, Elijah and Dylan; his great great grandchildren, Lucy and Thomas; his daughter-in-law Rhonda Hobby of Media, IL; his siblings, Gary Armstrong (Doris) of Roseville, IL and Carlyn Anders (Phil) of Raritan, IL; and his sister-in-law Evelyn Owsley.
