It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Donald Rothzen (Stronghurst, Illinois), born in Monmouth, Illinois, who passed away on May 5, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Erick Rothzen and Irene Hull Rothzen; his former wife Kathleen "Kaky" Brown; his sister Mary Rothzen; and his brothers-in-law, Bob Melvin and Harold Patch.
He is survived by: his wife Athella Jean Wallingford; his children, Ronald Rothzen (Sue) of Media, IL and Linda Samson (Kevin) of Monroe, WI; his grandchildren, Jennifer Henderson, Sarah Ragan, Nathan Parker, Brandon Rothzen, Kayla Schmelzle, Jacob Samson, Colin Rothzen and Hannah Samson; and his siblings, Richard Rothzen (Sherry) of Burlington, IA, Delores Patch of Stronghurst and Shirley Melvin of Champaign, IL.. He is also survived by eight great grandsons, three great granddaughters, three step children, seven step grandchildren, five step great grandchildren.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, private family graveside services will be held Saturday May 9, 2020 in the Raritan Cemetery with Pastor Dan Siems officiating.
