He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellis "Bud" and Juanita Rosenbalm Vancil; and his siblings, Robert Vancil and Linda Effland. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Cable; his children, David Vancil Jr. (Kelli) of Little York, IL, Arbry Vancil of Stronghurst, Doug Vancil (Brenda) of Smithshire, IL, Brayden Vancil, Kristin Vancil of Rio, IL and Amber Olson (Nick) of Burlington, IA; and his siblings, Ellis Vancil Jr. of Mesa, AZ, Jeff Vancil of Stronghurst, Grace Ochsner of Reynolds, IL and Chris Cook (Paul) of Stronghurst. He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren.
