He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Chalkey and Beatrice Chalkey (Crawford); his siblings, Robert (Bob), Richard (Dick), Thomas (Tommy), Terrance Chalkey (Terry) and Katherine Baumgardner; his brother-in-law Raymond Yanak; his nephew David Chalkey; and his great-nephew Mathew Chalkey.
He is survived by: his sisters, Margaret Yanak of Overland Park and Nancy Battershell (Richard) of Streator; and his sisters-in-law, Cindy Chalkey of Streator and Shirley Chalkey of Florida. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
