We are sad to announce that on May 19, 2020, at the age of 78, Walter Hood (Streator, Illinois) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Hood and Emma Hood; his wife Earnestine Joiner; his children, Terry, Dale, Emmajean and Linda; and his siblings, Emma Martin, Roosevelt Hood, James Hood, Charlie Hood and Roy Hood.
He is survived by: his children, LaVon Thurmond (Robert) of Fort Worth, TX, Curry Hood Jr. of Streator, IL, Sheila Wade (Reginald) of Merrillville, IN, Walter Hood Jr. of Streator, IL, David Hood of Streator, IL and Francis Smith (Paul) of Peoria, IL; and his siblings, Beatrice Hicks, Ara Gant, Lucy Mae Wilson and Rosie Lee Anderson. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
