It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Verna Joyce Bruns of Streator, Illinois, who passed away on September 1, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Hopwood and Pauline Hopwood (Cook); and her husband Herman "Bones" Bruns. She is survived by: her children, Dennis Bruns, Donna Feken (Ralph) and Dana Martin (Tim); her grandchildren, Cari Bedeker (Rory), Brett Martin (Megan W.), Kati Vickers (Eric), Brooks Martin (Mollie) and Brennon Martin; and her great grandchildren, Brynlee Bedeker, Wyatt, Harper Martin, Martin and Marshall Vickers. She is also survived by her family and friends; starting by helping raise her younger siblings, to raising her own family.
