Steven G. Morgan Obituary

Steven G. Morgan, 62, of Streator passed away Monday, April 15, 2024 at O.S.F. St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday, April 19th at Solon-Telford Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Thursday, April 18th at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.

Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Streator.

Born October 16, 1961 in Streator, he was the son of William Edward and Rosemary (Turner) Morgan. He married Ann Gochanour on April 4, 1987 at St. Mary's Church in Wenona.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Morgan of Streator; daughters, Jordan Pyatt of Streator and Stefanie Morgan of Streator; a grandson, Aiyen (A.J.) Pyatt of Streator; a sister, Ruth (Randy) Carner of Magnolia, Texas; brothers, Edward Morgan of Streator and Paul Morgan of Homer Glen; a special aunt, Agnes Simanello: several nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his in-laws, Jack and Margaret Gochanour.

Born and raised in Streator, he attended St. Mary's Grade School and graduated from Streator High School, class of 1979.

He worked as an auto mechanic for many years at various establishments. He later fulfilled a lifelong dream of being a business owner. He owned and operated Morgan Auto Body as well as owning various Laundromats and apartment rentals around town.

Steve loved classic cars and hanging with his family, especially his grandson, AJ. He also leaves behind his beloved dog, Jersey. He will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends.

Memorials may be directed to the family to be used for support of cancer patients or to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
