He was predeceased by: his parents, Sterling C. and Barbara J. Flanery Sr. (LaVelle); and his siblings, Michael, Denise Flanery and Debra Hillier.
He is survived by: his sons, Eric Flanery (Wendy Despinis) of Streator and Matthew Flanery (Samantha Dooley) of Streator; and his siblings, Tom Flanery of Ottawa, Lisa Christoffers (Jeff) of Ottawa and Lori O'Cull of Powhatan, VA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
