He was predeceased by: his parents, Havord Payton and Mazie Payton (Bishop); and his siblings, Joyce Clay, Nancy and Butch Colclasure.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Austino; his children, Amanda Payton, Jimmy of Streator and Josh Payton of Streator; his grandchildren, Xzaveria, James, Shyla, Carson and Carter; and his sister Barb Kridner (Mike) of Kentucky.
