He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Anderson and Louise Anderson (Triplett); his stepfather Richard Carpenter; his parents-in-law, Leonard and Gerry; his sister Judy Martin; his brother-in-law Ron Martin; and his brother Roger.

He is survived by: his son Brett Anderson (Rachel) of Chicago; his wife Mary Lou; his children, Lindsay Stout (Drew) of Sandy Utah, Leslie Kuntz (Kevin) of Ottawa and Bobby Anderson (Leah) of Streator; his grandchildren, Madison, Carson Stout, Kevin, Kuntz, Milah Anderson and Quinn Anderson; his sister Suzanne Wellman (Mark) of Streator; his half-brother Robert "Mickey" Gaughan; and his sister-in-law Sharon Walkey of Streator. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and cousins.
