He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Rankin and Alice Rankin (Van Namee). He is survived by: his wife Carole Rankin of Streator; his children, Kay Scamen (Rob), Graniteville, S. Carolina and Kurt Rankin (Lorena); his grandchildren, Rachel Curtis (Dave), Ally Lewber, Casey and Spencer Scamen; his great grandchildren, Leila and Kiah Scamen; and his sister Marcia Schmillen (Cory).
Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran wall fund, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society or to the donor's choice.
