It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Merlene R. Martin of Streator, Illinois, who passed away on February 2, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Semans and Sarah Noble; her husband Dean Martin; her siblings, Roy, James Cairns, Merle Semans, Sarah Benge, Viola Carlson, LaVern Defenbaugh and Beulah "Booie" Fredrickson; and her son-in-law Todd Baker.

She is survived by: her children, Jayne Proe (Tony) of Syracuse, Jodie Hoffmeyer (Eric) of Streator and Danny Martin (Yoli) of Mission Viejo, California; her grandchildren, Blake Baker (Megan) of Ottawa, Regan Baker of Streator, Chloe Baker of Streator, Alex Martin (Brittany) of Orange, Sarah Finn (Nathan) of Roseville, Alexandra Anaya (Adrian) of Lake Forest, Lilliana of New York, Sophie Proe of New York and Ethan Hoffmeyer of Streator; and her great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Jax, Beau Baker of Ottawa, Adrienne and Ava Anaya of Lake Forest, California.. She is also survived by her grandchildren, great grandchildren and many, many friends.
