He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen Vissering and Sally Vissering (Compton); and his son Eric. He is survived by: his children, Mark Vissering (Virginia) and Angie Vissering (David Krug) of El Paso; his pet Pepper; his grandchildren, Evan, Colin and Maddie; his siblings, Nancy Cinnamon, Kathy Tuller (Miles), Mary Avon (Bob), David Vissering (Lynn) of Streator and Paul Vissering (Linda) of Streator; and his brothers-in-law, Kevin McMenamin (Jeanne) of Long Point and Michael McMenamin (Carol) of Spooner. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Winterrowd-Hagi Funeral Home (305 S Park St, Streator, IL 61364). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to the Streator Moose Lodge.
