He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Spaniol and Venus Spaniol (Lawrence); his wife Diane Holohan; his brothers, Gordon, Dale, Lawrence and Rollie Spaniol; and his siblings-in-law, Lois Spaniol and Daren Cox.
He is survived by: his grandsons, Dillion, Mitchell Herried, George Spaniol, Peyton, Parker and Palmer Phillis; his children, Kim Herried (Dean) of Rockford, MI, Keith Raymond Spaniol (Pam) of Sherman, IL and Kristine Phillis (Raymond) of Streator; his grandchildren, Dillon, Amanda, Jessica Herried, Bill, Kenny Spaniol and Klaire; and his sisters, Lois Ross (Bill) of Ransom, Clara Farley (Stanley) of Kempton and Marsha Cox of Pontiac. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made in his name to St. Michael the Archangel Church, Streator High School Welding Program, or a charity of the donor's choice.
