She was predeceased by: her parents, James Metcalf and Mabel Metcalf (Cook); her husband Floyd "Bud" Piper; and her sisters, Virginia Eubanks, Audrey Allison, Florabelle Yedinak, Beverly Huxtable and Donna Crouch.
She is survived by: her daughters, Mary Ruth Clayton (Glenn) of Streator and Kathy Thompson (Jeff) of Hinkley; her grandchildren, Chris Clayton (Nicki) of Madison, Gary Clayton (Jen) of Wheaton, Suzanne Thompson of Lombard and Scott Thompson (Kayla) of Lisbon; and her great grandchildren, Maeve, Huxley Clayton, Jacob, Emmeline Clayton, Owen and Evan Thompson. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
