He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Yanek and Rosemary Yanek (McClernon); and his siblings, Tommy Yanek, Eileen Kinkade and Margaret Dye.
He is survived by: his wife Beth Kobal; his daughter Robin Yanek (Adrian Dominguez) of North Aurora; his grandchildren, Morgan of Streator and Tommy Yanek of Streator; and his siblings, Edward Yanek of Sandwich, Raymond Yanek of Streator, Mark Yanek (Sue) of Streator, Patrick Yanek of Streator, BethAnn Connor (Ron) of Streator, Sue Halterman of Peru, Geri Talent (Mike) of Flanagan and Kathy Burkett (Bob) of Tennessee.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
