He was predeceased by: his mother Bernice Roach; his stepfather Charles Winterrowd; his brothers-in-law, James Dennis, Richard Klee, Harold Sandy, Jr. and Paul Shaver; his nieces and nephews, Laurie Obenhin, Ariel Shaver, Rick Klee and Jeff Dickman; and his parents-in-law, Harold Sr. and Virginia Sandy.
He is survived by: his sons, James Pierson (June) of Streator, Robert Evans of Streator and Scott Pierson of Lake; his grandchildren, Brittany, Matthew, Daphne and James Pierson; and his siblings, Charlene Klee of Streator, Joylene Dennis of Streator, Patricia Shaver of Ottawa and Jerry Frailey of Wisconsin. He is also survived by 2 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
