He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Hillyer and Cora Hillyer (Cox); his wife Gloria King; and his daughters, Deborah Hillyer and Dawn Sampson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Denise Grammer of Streator and Desiree Williams of Streator; and his grandchildren, Dustin, Jeremiah Hillyer, Samantha Farrare (Luke), Joshua (Katie Cooper), Shea Thomas, Luke and Logan Grammer (Jennifer). He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren, 3 brothers and 5 sisters.
