He was predeceased by: his father John A. Sauers; and his in-laws, Donald and Harriet Quandt. He is survived by: his mother Agnes "Aggie" Sauers (Handzus) of Streator; his wife Kathleen Quandt; his sons, Dr. Logan (Nicole Campbell) of Manchester, England and Adam of Streator; his siblings, Kathy Lucas (Jack) of Streator, Beth Cravatta (Jerry) of Streator and John Sauers (Tina) of Streator; and his siblings-in-law, Kris and Frank Martin of Streator. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made in his name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
