He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Vissering and Wilma Vissering (Hike); his wife Sally A. Compton; his grandsons, Joseph Cinnamon and Matthew Vissering; his son-in-law Gary Cinnamon; and his brothers, Logan, Gary and Darold Vissering.
He is survived by: his grandsons, Kevin Turner, Scott Mounce, Mike Cinnamon, Eric Vissering, Joe Avon and Davey Vissering; his children, Nancy Cinnamon of Streator, Kathy Tuller (Miles) of Streator, Mary Avon (Bob) of Streator, Mark Vissering (Gigi) of Streator, David Vissering (Lynn) of Streator and Paul Vissering (Lin) of Streator; his siblings, Norman Vissering (Linda) of Colorado, Carol Zoll of California, Marie Madson (Richard) of Virginia and Wendell Vissering (Linda) of Flanagan; and his brother-in-law David Compton (Kathy) of Pontiac. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
