He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Schmitt and Audrey Schmitt (Moss); his wife Carol Kinkade; his son Frank Schmitt Jr.; and his siblings, Arthur, Mark and Jean Provance.
He is survived by: his daughters, LeeAnn Cook of Streator and Kim Schmitt of Lacon; his sister Audrey Plymire of Streator; and his pets, Cocoa, Zues and Ivory. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren.
