He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Garrison and Aulta Garrison (Kiest); his former spouse Marolyn J. Hansen; his spouses, Ruth, Don Clippinger, Verneal Garrison (Betty) and Zella Garrison; and his brother-in-law Robert Mclennan.
He is survived by: his sons, Mark Garrison (Judy) of Streator, Doug Garrison of Catawba and Paul Garrison (Chris) of Streator; his grandchildren, Zach Garrison of Streator, Jessica Closner (Phillip) of North Carolina, Stuart Garrison of North Carolina, Madilynn Mahaffey of Streator and Nick Flynn of Peoria; his sisters, Carole Cain (Larry) of Ottawa, Judith Mclennan of Ottawa, Nancy Price (Lafayette) of Broughton and Cherilyn Wujek (David) of Galesburg; and his sister-in-law Dolores Garrison of Barstow, California.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
