He was predeceased by: his parents, Nick Lautwein and Irene Lautwein (Hageman); his son Alan Edward Lautwein; his siblings, Alfred, John and Alice Henson; and his niece Sandra Beavers.
He is survived by: his adoptive son James Lautwein; and his nephews, Doug Lautwein (Holly) of Streator and David Lautwein of Aurora.
