He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Bednar (Harcharik) and Thomas Bednar; his sister Mary Ann Jones; his brother-in-law Bill Jones; his sister Delores Laue; his brothers-in-law, Don Laue and Ralph Feken; his brother Bernard Bednar; and his siblings-in-law, Joyce Bednar and Ron Gengenbacher.
He is survived by: his wife Claudette Lechner; his great grandchildren, Brett Stevens Brad (Ransom), Cade Stevens, Riley Stevens, Kinsley Stevens Ava Stevens (Ransom) and Vaughn Stevens of Tonopah, AZ; his siblings, Alice Feken and Ron Bednar of Sacramento; and his sisters-in-law, Donna Sabol (Richard) of Streator, Carol Dzurisin Brockman (Ottawa) and Doris Gengenbacker (Ron) of Streator. He is also survived by his wife of 68 years and children.
