He was predeceased by: his parents, Karl Spierling and Anna Spierling (Novotney). He is survived by: his sons, Jeffrey Spierling (Christine) of Kangley and Todd Spierling (Kara) of Rockford; and his sister Dorothy Grayson (Keith) of Scottsdale, AZ.. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
