He was predeceased by: his parents, Dwight Abbey and Mabel Abbey (Houtz); his former wife Joyce Schwengel; his wife Carol J. Munson; and his siblings, Beverly Grubar, Audrey Moore and Charles Abbey.
He is survived by: his children, Tamara Abbey (Rick White) of Mendota, David D. Abbey (Lisa) of Streator and Christine Tkach (David) of Streator; and his sister-in-law Phyllis Abbey of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
Due to the recent State guidelines set in place regarding the Covid-19 Coronavirus, the Funeral services will be private.
Memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor's choice.
