He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Henkel and Sophie Henkel (Onken); his former wife Frances "Leslie" Andrews; his wife Marilyn Henkel of Streator; his sons, Dale Henkel (Janet) of Streator and Daniel Henkel (Angel) of Colorado; his stepsons, Richard Halko (Cindy) of Wisconsin, John Halko (Lynn) of Indiana, Anthony Halko (Linda) of Streator and Paul Halko (Anna) of North Dakota; his grandchildren, Nadia Reynolds, Jenny Hayes, Jeremy Hayes and Lani Henkel; his siblings, Darlene Catania of Palos Park, Lyle Henkel of Florida, Nancy Monge (Leroy) of Washington and Howard Henkel (Ruth) of Des Plaines; his children, Laurie Kay Henkel and David Henkel; and his siblings, Robert, Leroy, John Henkel, Eyelene Waldrin, Marilyn Henkel, Shirley Capece Wilson and Helen Woods. He was also cherished by 2 great grandchildren; 11 step-grandchildren; 8 step-great grandchildren.
