It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Catherine Cherveny of Streator, Illinois, who passed away on August 13, 2020, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Grzonka and Katherine Grzonka (Bednarczyk); her husband George A. Cherveny; her siblings, Ann Meitus, Mary O'Brokta, Nellie Harcharik, Rose Cameron, Antoinette Simko, Tillie Noon, Joseph Grzonka and Stanley Grzonka; and her son-in-law Lawrence Piraino.
She is survived by: her children, Carol Wysocki (Bernard) of Wisconsin, Clarence Cherveny of Streator, Ron Cherveny of North Carolina, Kathy Piraino of Streator and George Cherveny (Irina) of Wisconsin; her grandchildren, Bryan Scott of Chicago, Luke Cherveny of Massachusetts, Megan Danz (Brandon) of Pennsylvania and Eve Ragins of Washington; and her great grandchildren, Magdalene Danz and Anne Danz. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to a charitable organization of the donor's choice.
