She was predeceased by: her parents, Gifford Hansen and Frances Hansen (Kamberling); her husband Kenneth Austin; her son Donald "Weiner" Austin; her son-in-law Kurt Schmitz; and her brother Robert Hansen.

She is survived by: her daughters, Julie Schmitz and Robin Austin; her grandson-in-law Kenny; and her sister Beverly.

Memorials may be directed to the American Diabetes Association.
