He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Bednar and Mary Bednar (Harcharik); his wife Joyce Fryman; his daughter Mary Beth Denton; his stepdaughters, Becky and Dodie Griffin; his grandson Bryson Williamson; and his sisters, Mary Ann Bednar and Delores Laue.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Jesse Mesarick, Laci Clay (David), Emily Williams (Rick), Danielle, Megan, Samuel Richards, Eric Gonzalez (Jordan), Nadine Gonzalez, Nicole, Anastasia, Naomi and Savannah Denton; his stepgrandchildren, Cody, Kyle and Kayla Williamson; and his siblings, Alice Feken of Madison, Don Bednar (Claudette) of Streator and Ron Bednar (Mary) of California. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
