It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Jane Matas of Streator, Illinois, born in Benton, Illinois, who passed away on October 21, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Adlie Rogers and Goldie Rogers (Rice); her husband Albert Matas Sr.; and her siblings, Jack, Jerry, Paul, Bill Rogers and Patricia.
She is survived by: her children, Karla Neiggemann (Fred) of Streator and Albert J. Matas Jr. (Patricia) of Galena; her grandchildren, Kristi Libby (Tony), Kelsey Maier (Nick), Kasey Neiggemann, Jason Boyd (Jaci) and Albert Matas III (Megan); her great grandchildren, Chase, Masen Libby, Darwin Maier, Natalie, Madison Boyd and Albert "AJ" Matas IV; and her great great grandchildren, Hadley and Sawyer Haws.
