He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony "Tony" and Bernadine Harcar (Seipp); his son Tony Harcar; and his siblings, Beverly Fialko, Carol Bucalo, Patricia Starkey, Robert, David, Dale, Donald, Gene and Mark Harcar.

He is survived by: his grandsons, Gavin Harcar, Chad Hardgrove, Ryan Hardgrove, Nick Hardgrove and Jake Harcar; his wife Marjorie Harcar of Streator; his children, Cindy Hardgrove (Jeff) of Streator, Kris Hagen (David) of Aberdeen, Washington and Ron Harcar (Carrie) of Streator; his stepchildren, Julie Northrup (Mark) of O'Fallon, Liz Price (Tom) of Streator, Cathleen Bennett (Mike) of Cornell and Jim Robertson (Terri) of LaQuinta, California; and his siblings, Sue Morgan of Streator, Mary Poldek (Larry "Chico") of Streator, LuAnn Hoarty (Jim) of Streator, Mike Harcar of Streator, Daniel Harcar of Streator and Stephen Harcar (Chris) of Streator. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
