She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hirkala and Suzanne Hirkala (Yuskov); her former husband John Majernik; her husband Frank Reed; her sons, Ronald and Lawrence Majernik; her grandson Christopher Majernik; and her brothers, John, Joseph and Sunbury.

She is survived by: her son John Majernik (Genevieve) of Streator; her daughter-in-law Kay Majernik of Streator; her grandchildren, Hope Perry (Dan) of Normal, Gina Hozie (John) of Streator, Michele Sweet (Kevin) of Columbus, Mark Majernik (Becky Craig) of Florida, Matthew Majernik (Kristina) of Maryland, Kristi Tutko of Streator, Nicholas Majernik (Cheng-Wei) of Nebraska and Jessica Hazen (Mark) of Pennsylvania; and her brother George Hirkala of Streator. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren.
