The passing of Aliene Louise Daugherty of Streator, Illinois, born in Silverton, Oregon leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on February 10, 2025 at the age of 76. She was predeceased by: her parents, Amos Porterfield and Martha Porterfield (Leatherman); her husband Doyle Ray Daugherty; her siblings-in-law, Delton Daugherty (Betty), Joe Huml (Lynnette), Edna Reppert and Francine Martens; and her parents-in-law, Chip Ferguson (Marie) and Rosemary Huml.
She is survived by: her children, Bridget Cavallucci and Adam Daugherty (Jessica); her grandchildren, Jacob Smith (Brittany), Zakary Smith (Alex), Scott Scamen (Laina), Aiddan Daugherty and Kennedy Daugherty; her great grandchildren, Bentley and Delanie Smith; her siblings, Virgil Porterfield, Ronnie Bassler, Carlos Bassler, Jr., Michael Bassler, Loretta Schrodetz and Joyce Watts; and her brother-in-law Arty Martens. She is also survived by cousins and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Baskerville Funeral Home (700 E Kahler Rd, Wilmington, IL 60481). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery (20953 W Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL 60421).
