He was predeceased by: his sister Suzanne Cismesia; and his parents, William P. McGowen and Elsie McGowen. He is survived by: his wife Mercedes; his sons, William P. McGowen III (Molly) of Wheaton, IL., Michael J. McGowen (Laura) of Acworth, GA, Thomas C. McGowen (Jennifer) and John A. McGowen (Debbie) of Gilbert, AZ.; his grandchildren, Drew, Rowan, Kelly, Liam, Aidan, Tally, Henry, Alyssa, Sydney, Jack, Viola Rose and Delaney; and his great grandchildren, Dalilah, Quinn, Wren, Hallie and Jocelyn.
