He was predeceased by: his wife Eleanor; his daughter Karen Olson (Phil); and his parents, Albert and Anna. He is survived by: his children, Gregory Gondek (Diana) and Susan Rogers; and his grandchildren, Matthew, Erin, James, Ashley, Timothy, Christine, Joseph, Victoria, Maxwell and Bridget.

A prayer was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 10:15 AM at the Countryside Funeral Homes and Crematory (1640 S Green Meadows Blvd, Streamwood, IL 60107). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Marcelline Catholic Church (822 Springinsguth Rd, Schaumburg, IL 60193). A burial was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at the St Adalbert Cemetery.
