We bid farewell to Elaine Barwig of Streamwood, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 3, 2025 at the age of 88. Elaine touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Though Elaine may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Elaine touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husbands, Bob Barwig and James Christensen; her daughter Donna Leban (Joe); her grandchildren, Shelley Luedtke (Ben) and Scott Leban (Jenn); and her great grandchildren, Payton and McKenzie Luedtke.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory (950 S Bartlett Rd, Bartlett, IL 60103). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
